The inaugural session of the Southwest’s soon-to-be Premier Alternative Comics Meet-Up Extravaganza Spectacular COMIX CLUB will be held August 4th, 2023 at the Congress St. location of Wooden Tooth Records in sunny Tucson, AZ. Cartoonists, artists, zinesters, readers, newcomers, or the simply curious are invited to attend — all are welcome.
The meeting will kickoff with readings from some of the desert’s best up-and-coming cartoonists, after which attendees can grab a drink from the bar and draw together, talk shop, trade comics and zines (of your own making or from your personal collection), enter to win the Comix Club Prize Package Raffle Sweepstakes, peruse the Comix Club Flea Market and find eclectic comics to buy, form connections amongst the greater Arizona comics community, and more.
Limited art supplies will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own sketchbook and drawing tools.
